Cookie Policy — The Everyday Christ

This site uses no advertising cookies and no cross-site trackers. What little it stores is there to remember how you like to read it.

01What cookies and local storage are

Cookies are small files a site can save in your browser. Local storage works similarly, keeping a small value on your device that never travels with your requests. This page covers both.

02What this site stores

Only the following, and only in your own browser:

  • Theme preference — remembers whether you chose light or dark reading. Local storage, no expiry until you clear it.
  • Hosting — our hosting provider may set essential cookies needed to serve the site and keep it secure.

03Analytics

If we use analytics, it will be a privacy-respecting service that measures page views in aggregate without cookies, without cross-site tracking, and without building a profile of you. We do not use advertising, remarketing, or social media tracking pixels.

05Managing what is stored

You can clear or block cookies and local storage in your browser settings at any time. The site keeps working — it will simply forget your theme and show the default.

06Third-party pages

Links out to a store, a bookseller, or our Instagram and Facebook pages lead to sites with their own cookies and their own policies. We have no control over what they set once you leave.
