Terms of Service
Terms of Service — The Everyday Christ
These terms cover reading the stories collected here, sharing a story of your own, and what happens to a story once it is published.
Last updated October 4, 2026
01Agreeing to these terms
By visiting theeverydaychrist.com or submitting a story, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the site or send us a submission.
The Everyday Christ is an independent project operated by an individual, not a company or a church. Nothing here is published on behalf of any religious organization.
02Who may use the site
Anyone may read the site. To submit a story you must be 16 years of age or older. If you are under 16, a parent or legal guardian must submit on your behalf and provide their own email address for correspondence.
03What you may submit
We ask for one short, true, first-hand account of an ordinary, everyday experience in which you noticed Jesus Christ. Submissions are limited to 300 words, one account per submission.
- It must be your own account, written by you, and true to the best of your memory.
- It must not contain full names, addresses, phone numbers, or any detail that would identify another person in it.
- It must not contain material you do not have the right to share, including text, images, or lyrics belonging to someone else.
- It must not be used to attack, accuse, or solicit — from anyone, about anyone, or for anything.
- It must not contain unlawful, hateful, harassing, or sexually explicit content.
04The permission you give us
When you check the permission box and send a story, you grant The Everyday Christ a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual license to publish, reproduce, translate, and adapt your story on this site, in a future printed or digital book, and in material promoting the project.
You keep the copyright in your own words. You are free to tell your story anywhere else, at any time. We do not sell submissions to third parties, and we do not license them onward for use outside the project.
05Editing and identity
Minor edits — spelling, punctuation, and light trimming — may be made without asking you. Any edit that changes the meaning or substantially changes the wording will be sent to you by email for approval before publication.
Stories are published under a self-chosen identity, such as "hospice nurse" or "loving father", never under your legal name. Do not enter your real name in the identity field. Your email address is never published.
Publication is not guaranteed. Every submission is read, and we are grateful for all of them, but we choose what fits the collection.
06Withdrawing a story
Write to us at the address below and we will remove your story from the site, normally within 30 days. Copies already printed in a book, or already distributed, cannot be recalled, and we may keep an archival record of the submission and its permission.
07Artwork and site content
The artwork, illustrations, logo, written site copy, and design of The Everyday Christ are owned by the project and may not be copied, reproduced, or sold without written permission. You are welcome to link to or share a story page as it appears here.
08Purchases
Any store or book purchase is handled by a third-party seller under that seller's own terms, pricing, shipping, and refund policy. The Everyday Christ does not process card payments and does not hold your payment details.
09No warranty and limits on liability
The site is offered as it is. We do not promise it will be uninterrupted or error-free, and the stories collected here are personal accounts, not advice — spiritual, medical, legal, or otherwise.
To the fullest extent permitted by law, The Everyday Christ is not liable for any indirect or consequential loss arising from your use of the site.
10Changes and contact
We may update these terms as the project grows. The date at the top of this page shows when they last changed. Questions about these terms can be sent to hello@theeverydaychrist.com.
